Just in time for the 2007 World Series, Seattle Pacific University Professor
Bill Woodward is more than ready to dig himself a tow hold and recite his
infamous rendition of "Casey at the Bat." You won't want to miss "Baseball in
America: A Cultural Epic of Biblical Proportions," a popular feature of the
"Inguiring Minds" program of the Washington Commission for the Humanities.
Woodward has toured the state captivating audiences from Hoquiam to Walla
Walla by presenting the history of baseball as a microcosm of the history of
America.

Winner of the lifetime Achievement Award from the Pacific Northwest Historians
Guild, Woodward is the former social science editor for Christian Scholar's Review
and has been at SPU since 1974. Students enthusiastically name him Professor of
the Year in 1996.
